Action Needed!

Need Q&A desk Lead - right near to registration - to provide information on JO event and surrounding Rock Hall and Chestertown community. This booth needs to be staffed by volunteers Friday Jul 9 2-8pm and Sat 7am - noon

Need Merchandise Sales Lead - sell JO shirts, hats, towels, etc during JO event Friday Jul 9 2-8pm, Sat Jul 10 8-noon, Sun Jul 11 9-noon. A group of volunteers can man this booth, sell goods, keep track of items sold, and $ collected

Electrical - need to discuss electrical needs with vendors - what are their power requirements? can they bring generators? etc.

Call Waterman's Association and notify them of the JO regatta Event on Sat & Sun Jul 10-11 in Langford Bay and Chester River. Please get name of Waterman POC and add to Blog.

Call Coast Guard and notify them of the JO regatta Event on Sat & Sun Jul 10-11 in Langford Bay and Chester River. Request/ensure Coast Guard on water during event. Please get name of Coast Guard POC and add to Blog.

Ensure Rock Hall EMT available onsite or on-call during JO event. Set up site safety / evaluation / JO Volunteer training with RHVFD in June 2010. Please get name of RHVFD POC and add to Blog.

Identify communication system(s) for event. PA System? Walkie-Talkie system?

Draw up RHYC ground plan (camping, vendors, parking, etc) and circulate for discussion at Jan 2010 JO planning meeting.

Can we share tent expenses with Dave Teel and Bonny?

  1. Am I allowed to nominate people for positions? I think Dawn would be awesome to command the Q&A desk. Is she supposed to be on the water with Lee?

    Regarding the merchandise, I thought Dawn (the other Dawn) had offered to assist. Also, I had a lengthy call with Coral Reef Apparel last week that I'll summarize shortly. One of the options is that they come on-site and sell their whole line of clothing including shirts and provide the YC with a kick-back from all sales. Something to consider.

    Tent Expenses - Lisa was to contact Dave and Bonny and see if we share expenses.

  2. Dawn U. will be finish recorder on one of the courses. Madelyn R may be an excellent Q&A desk Lead.

    Dawn S. and Carol I. will help with Merchandise.

    Lee U. submitted Coast Guard form CG-4423 to officially notify them of the JO Regatta, and requested an Auxiliary Patrol during the event.

    Lee U. also has made preliminary contact with RH Watermans Association.

    Chip L. has volunteered to be Dock Master - in charge of boat and beach control
