Fun Committee idea
I was brainstorming today and wanted some thoughts from fellow volunteers. What does everyone think about maybe having fireworks for Friday night since it's around July 4th??? I can work on getting prices, but I needed the go ahead. Does anyone know of pyro companies?
This sounds like a fun idea, but I'm worried with respect to the cost & liabilities. I do happen to have a friend that does the local fireworks in PA. I could ask him for a range of prices and insurance concerns to see if its something we want to pursue. I think he might be a good sounding board.
Just spoke to Lou who does the local fireworks here in PA. He will not travel that far, but said at a minimum the price would be $3500. Insurance would be included in that price. I think that is too much $ for the event. We have other key areas that we're working hard to get sponsorship for.
The purpose of this blog: RHYC JO Committee Communication & Planning. The blog is open only to invited RHYC Committee Members. To have someone added, please contact Connie at rhycss@comcast.net

ReplyDeleteIt was a great idea, but I think it's expensive.
