Clean-up-Parking- Hoist control
The Chairs who have volunteered for this effort are Ron Mansfield and Seth Powell. They will be responsible to lay out the grounds with marking spray for parking boats by class and laying out Campsites. Someone will need to be on the hoists before and after sailing each day to assist the visitors in the use of the hoists. This committee will also have several people on hand at various times to be sure that the trash cans are empty and trash picked up. one more item on their list will be lining up several more Porta Johns. We should make the decision about the # we need close to the date of the regatta.

Awesome! A couple of questions:
ReplyDelete1. Can they also translate their grounds strategy into a map that can be handed out at the question/answer table?
2. Will they assist in directing cars/trailers to the correct parking spot that day?
3. Do also need more signs to assist with that?
4. Will they be responsible for pre-assignment of campers to the proper site? Or is that usually handled first come, first pick?
1. yes we should be able to have a map and 3. signs will make it lots easier to handle parking.
ReplyDelete2.They or some of their people will be on hand to direct parkers
4. Campers can either be first come first served or have sites reserved. I would opt for not reserving sites but they need to decide.
