ReplyDeleteHere are some thoughts from the YC House and Grounds Committee:
1. Call Eastern Ice and see if they can bring an ice truck to the event so we can sell ice to the folks that need it. Our ice capacity is very limited, mostly to my bar drinks!
2. Call in an extra Dumpster and place it near the waterfront, making it easier for the competitors and their families to use.
3. Figure that we will need two additional Lifeguards at the Pool, to manage the crowd.
4. We will need to bring in extra cleaning people to keep up with the restrooms etc.
I am sure there will be more housekeeping items like this cropping up.

Lee -> awesome ideas. I'm going to start a post for each month leading up to the event and the critical tasks that need to occur. I will add ice and dumpster to June.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the staff, when Connie, Denise, & I met with Dan after the formal meeting. These items were discussed. We added a lifeguard and staff to assist throughout the day to the overall budget.
